A native New Englander, James moved west to Colorado to pursue his love of mountaineering. His bizarre love of cold places has taken him north to the Canadian Rockies, Greenland, and several remote islands in the high Arctic. Along with a family of black bears, he knows the hidden source of Poland Spring water. James is currently working on a Colorado hiking guidebook due out in 2006 from Wilderness Press. Gina put her family's worries to rest when she landed her first job at an outdoors magazine where her duties included--you guessed it--hiking and camping. Years later, she's still making a career out of the sports she loves: skiing, hiking, running, paddling and competing in all kinds of biking--road, mountain, track and cyclocross.

Doug spent five life-changing seasons building trails and fighting fires in the Montana wilderness and ever since he's known that he could only work a job that would keep him hiking, biking, skiing, climbing, fishing and lying in a sleeping bag staring up into the stars. These days he spends far too much time behind his computer but he still sneaks out whenever he can with his wife Radha and daughter Isa.
